Castile is an olive oil soap that originated in the Castile region of Spain, centuries ago. This one is for the minimalist who just wants a soap made with 100% certified organic extra virgin olive oil and no fragrance. Sodium lactate is added to increase hardness and longevity. Green clay gives it a very slight color and slip. Handcrafted, wire cut and hand beveled, each bar is similar but not identical.

Ingredients & Directions:

Ingredients: Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Green Clay, Sodium Lactate.

Directions: Wet soap, lather, wash, rinse and repeat. Keep dry in between uses. NOTE: As is typical with this kind of soap, it is low bubble, low lather and very gentle on the skin. It’s an acquired taste, however, as some people describe Castile soap lather as “slimy”. It’s extra important to keep this one dry in between uses, as soaps made with a very high percentage of olive oil are also prone to becoming '“gooey” faster than other soaps, when they are subjected to water for long periods of time.
