Castile is an olive oil soap that originated in the Castile region of Spain, centuries ago. This one is made using 100% certified organic extra virgin olive oil that was infused with fresh rosemary and lightly scented with rosemary essential oil. Sodium lactate is added to increase hardness and longevity. Green clay and mica give it light green slight color and slip. Handcrafted and poured into molds, each bar is similar but not identical.

Ingredients & Directions:

Ingredients: Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Non-GMO Sugar, Rosemary Essential Oil, Sodium Lactate, Green Clay, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Chromium Oxide Green.

Directions: Wet soap, lather, wash, rinse and repeat. Keep dry in between uses. NOTE: As is typical with this kind of soap, it is low bubble, low lather and very gentle on the skin. It’s an acquired taste, however, as some people describe Castile soap lather as “slimy”. It’s extra important to keep this one dry in between uses, as soaps made with a very high percentage of olive oil are also prone to becoming '“gooey” faster than other soaps, when they are subjected to water for long periods of time.
